§ 130 Appeals Board Authority

This law gives the appeals board and its workers' compensation judges the power to make people tell the truth, bring important papers, and show up to talk about work injury cases.

Key Takeaways

  • •Judges can make people swear to tell the truth in work injury cases.
  • •They can force people to bring important papers or show up to talk.
  • •This helps figure out what really happened when someone gets hurt at work.

Example

A worker gets hurt on the job and their boss won't give them the right medical records.

The judge can order the boss to bring those records to court so everyone can see what really happened.
