§ 53206 Bond Payment Appropriation

Key Takeaways

  • •The state sets aside money to pay back bonds (like loans) for special projects.
  • •This money covers both the original loan amount and the extra cost (interest).
  • •The money is also used for other specific needs mentioned in Section 53207.
  • •This rule doesn’t care about the usual yearly budget timing—it just makes sure the money is there when needed.

Example

Imagine the state borrows money to build a new school.

This law makes sure the state always has enough money in its bank account to pay back the loan, plus any extra fees, on time. It also sets aside extra money for other school-related costs, no matter what year it is.
