§ 42332 Permit Renewal Compliance Review

Key Takeaways

  • •Before renewing a permit, the officer checks if the place has followed air pollution rules before.
  • •The officer looks at past records to see if the place has broken any air pollution laws.
  • •The officer considers how big and complicated the place's operations are when checking their history.

Example

A factory wants to renew its permit to keep operating.

The officer will check if the factory has followed air pollution rules in the past. If the factory has broken rules before, it might not get its permit renewed. The officer will also think about how big the factory is and how many permits it has.
