§ 40910 Air Quality Attainment Goals

Key Takeaways

  • •The goal is to keep the air clean by reducing bad stuff like ozone and car exhaust.
  • •They should focus on cars and other big sources of pollution.
  • •They need to find the cheapest and best ways to clean the air, but health comes first.
  • •No wasting time or doing the same work twice.

Example

A city has too much smog from cars and factories.

The city must make a plan to cut down on car exhaust and factory smoke. They should pick the best and cheapest ways to do this, like making buses run on cleaner fuel or telling factories to use better filters. But they have to act fast to make sure people can breathe safe air.
