§ 40601 Air Quality Business Regulations

Key Takeaways

  • •Big companies (with 100+ workers) in busy cities must help employees share rides to work.
  • •Factories and businesses must use the best tools to reduce pollution.
  • •Using cleaner fuels (like electric or natural gas) is encouraged.
  • •Rules help cut down on car trips to keep the air cleaner.

Example

A big tech company in a city with 15,000 people has 200 employees.

The company must set up a rideshare program (like carpools or bus passes) to help workers get to the office together instead of driving alone. This reduces traffic and pollution.
