§ 39692 Fleet Incentive Compliance Rules

• •If a company gets money (an incentive) for buying a vehicle, they must keep full ownership and control of that vehicle.
• •If the company gives away or stops controlling the vehicle, they break the contract and the rules.
• •This rule applies during the entire time the contract is active.

A delivery company gets money from the government to buy an electric truck. Later, they sell the truck to another company.

The delivery company broke the rules because they no longer own or control the truck they got money for. They will be in trouble for not following the contract.
