§ 34055 Department Rule Exemptions

Key Takeaways

  • •The DMV can make rules without following the usual long process.
  • •These rules are for things like driver's licenses and car registration.
  • •The DMV doesn't have to ask for public opinion before making these rules.

Example

The DMV decides to change how you renew your driver's license online.

Normally, the government has to ask people what they think before changing rules, but the DMV can skip that step for things like this.
