§ 33654 Redevelopment Project Financial Agreements

Key Takeaways

  • •The government can decide how much money to charge for selling or renting out property in a redevelopment project.
  • •They can also decide how to use the money they make from these projects, like saving it for future costs or paying off debts.
  • •They can create special money pots (funds) for different purposes, like fixing things or saving for later.

Example

Imagine the city builds a new shopping center on old, empty land.

The city can say how much rent each store pays, where that money goes (like fixing roads or paying back loans), and even set aside some money for future repairs.
