§ 33606 Housing Agency Budget Requirements

Key Takeaways

  • •The agency must make a yearly plan showing how it will spend money, especially from the Low and Moderate Income Housing Fund.
  • •The plan must include what they want to spend, what they think they will earn, and what work they will do.
  • •The agency must check if they did what they planned last year and compare it to their goals.
  • •The plan can be changed later if needed, but all spending must follow the plan.

Example

A city agency wants to build new homes for people with low income.

The agency must make a yearly plan showing how much money they will spend on building homes, how much money they think they will get, and what homes they plan to build. They also need to check if they built the homes they promised last year. If they want to spend money on something new, they must update the plan first.
