§ 33604 Agency Surplus Funds Transfer

Key Takeaways

  • •If a government group stops working, any leftover money goes to the community.
  • •The money is only given after all bills and debts are paid.
  • •The community gets the money, not the people who worked there.

Example

A small town has a special group that takes care of the local park. The group stops working because there’s no more need for it.

After the group pays all its bills, like fixing the park’s swings and paying workers, any money left goes to the town. The town can use it for something else, like building a new playground.
