§ 33206 Local Redevelopment Staff Contracts

Key Takeaways

  • •Local governments can ask the state or other housing groups for help with redevelopment projects.
  • •They can make a deal to get extra staff or services if they need it.
  • •The local government gets the same powers and responsibilities as a housing agency in these cases.

Example

A small town wants to fix up old buildings but doesn’t have enough workers to plan it all out.

The town can team up with the state housing department to get the help they need, and the town will be in charge just like a housing agency would be.
