§ 2851 District Board Member Expenses

The members of the district board shall hold office at the pleasure of the board of supervisors. They shall serve without compensation, but shall be allowed their necessary traveling and other expenses incurred in performance of their official duties. In lieu of expenses, the district board may, by resolution, provide for the allowance and payment to each member of the board of a sum not exceeding one hundred dollars ($100) as expenses incurred in attending each business meeting of the board. Reimbursement for these expenses is subject to Sections 53232.2 and 53232.3 of the Government Code. (Amended by Stats. 2005, Ch. 700, Sec. 9. Effective January 1, 2006.)
