§ 25113 Waste Disposal Definition

Key Takeaways

  • •Disposal means throwing away waste in any way that could harm the air, land, or water.
  • •It also means leaving waste behind without taking care of it.
  • •This law is just explaining what disposal means, not changing the rules.

Example

You pour old motor oil from your car onto the ground in your backyard.

This is disposal because you’re putting waste (the oil) into the environment where it can harm the land or water.
