§ 1756 License Discipline Authority

Key Takeaways

  • •Even if your license is expired, suspended, or you gave it up, the state can still punish you for breaking rules while you had it.
  • •If your license is taken away, you might be able to get it back later by following certain steps.

Example

A doctor loses their medical license because they didn't follow the rules, but then the state finds out they did something wrong while they still had the license.

Even though the doctor doesn't have a license anymore, the state can still punish them for what they did wrong before.
