§ 1412 Unlicensed Referral Penalties

Key Takeaways

  • •You can't send people to do jobs that need a license if they don't have one.
  • •If you do this, you have to pay back all the money you made from it.
  • •The state of California can take you to court to get this money back.

Example

You run a company and send someone to fix electrical wiring in houses, but they don't have an electrician's license.

You'll have to pay back all the money you made from those jobs because it's against the law to send unlicensed people to do licensed work.
