§ 13869 District Fire Prevention Code

Key Takeaways

  • •A local area can decide to use an existing fire safety rulebook instead of making their own.
  • •The local leaders (like a city council) get to make this decision.
  • •This makes it easier to have the same fire safety rules as other places.

Example

A small town wants to make sure buildings are safe from fires.

Instead of writing their own rules, they can just say, 'We'll use the same fire safety rules as the big city nearby.' This way, everyone follows the same rules, and it’s simpler for the town.
