§ 12647 Permit Delegation And Appeals

Key Takeaways

  • •The people in charge can let someone else decide if you get a permit or not.
  • •If they say no, you can ask for a meeting to tell them why you think they should say yes.
  • •After the meeting, they can change their mind, say no again, or maybe say yes but with some rules.

Example

You want to open a lemonade stand on your street, but the city says no.

You can ask for a meeting to explain why your lemonade stand should be allowed. After listening, the city can say yes, no, or yes but with some rules like only on weekends.
