§ 12151 Explosives Storage Requirements

Key Takeaways

  • •Explosives must be stored safely, following rules set by the State Fire Marshal.
  • •These rules don't apply when explosives are being moved by a delivery company or are in transit to the person receiving them.
  • •If you have explosives, you can't just keep them anywhere—you have to follow the storage rules.

Example

You buy fireworks for a big show and store them in your garage until the event.

You can't just leave the fireworks in your garage. You have to store them the way the State Fire Marshal says, like in a special box or place. If you don’t, you could get in trouble.
