§ 115090 Radiation Certification Background Review

Key Takeaways

  • •The government checks your past to decide if you can get or keep a special license or job.
  • •They look at things like if you know how to do the job and if you’ve had problems with radiation before.
  • •If you’ve done something bad with radiation in the past, they might say no to your license.

Example

A person applies for a job working with X-ray machines at a hospital.

The government will check if this person knows how to use the machines safely and if they’ve ever broken rules about radiation before. If they have, they might not get the job.
