§ 114397 Food Facility Violation Responsibility

Key Takeaways

  • •If you own or run a restaurant or food place, you're responsible for what your workers do wrong.
  • •If your worker breaks a food safety rule, you get in trouble, not just them.
  • •Every day the rule is broken counts as a new mistake, so fixing it fast is important.

Example

A worker at a burger joint doesn't wash their hands before making food.

The boss of the burger joint gets in trouble because the worker broke a food safety rule. If the worker keeps doing it for 3 days, the boss gets 3 separate punishments.
