§ 114238 Potable Water Equipment Use

Key Takeaways

  • •Water tanks, pumps, and hoses meant for drinking water can't be used for anything else.
  • •This rule is to keep drinking water clean and safe.
  • •If you use these things for other stuff, it could make the water dirty or unsafe.

Example

A farmer uses the same hose to fill up a spray tank with pesticide and then later uses it to fill up a drinking water tank for his workers.

This is not allowed because the hose was used for something other than drinking water, which could make the water unsafe to drink.
