§ 114231 Food Facility Water Inlet

Key Takeaways

  • •Food trucks or temporary food stands must have a special water tank opening.
  • •The opening for the water tank must be no bigger than three-fourths of an inch wide.
  • •The hose connection must be a special type so it can’t be used for anything else, like filling up a pool or washing a car.

Example

A food truck at a fair wants to fill up its water tank.

The food truck must use a hose that fits a small, special opening (no bigger than three-fourths of an inch) on its water tank. This makes sure the hose isn’t used for anything else, like cleaning the truck or filling up a bucket.
