§ 112800 Retort Operator Permit Requirements

No person shall permit another to operate a steam-controlled retort used in the commercial canning industry for the sterilization of food products, unless the latter first obtains a permit from the department. The department may pass upon and determine the qualifications of the applicant with a view to the preservation of the public health. Any permit granted is revocable by the department whenever in its judgment the public health requires such action. (Added by Stats. 1995, Ch. 415, Sec. 6. Effective January 1, 1996.)
