§ 110265 Special Guarantee Invoice Requirements

This law says that if a company sells food, medicine, or beauty products, they must promise that those items are safe and exactly what they say they are. This promise must be written down and stuck to the bill or clearly mention which item it covers.

Key Takeaways

  • •Stores must promise that the food, medicine, or beauty products they sell are safe and real.
  • •This promise has to be written down and attached to your bill or clearly mention the product.
  • •It’s like a guarantee that what you’re buying is exactly what it says on the box.

Example

You buy a bottle of cough syrup from the store.

The store must have a written promise that the cough syrup is real, safe, and exactly what the label says it is. This promise should be on the receipt or clearly linked to that bottle.
