§ 101483 Exempt Hazardous Waste Sites

This law says it does NOT apply to certain places that already have other cleanup or safety orders, like hazardous spill sites or places with special water cleanup orders.

Key Takeaways

  • •The article is skipped for sites already listed as hazardous release sites under specific environmental articles.
  • •It also skips sites that have a corrective action order or agreement (Section 25187).
  • •Sites with a water‑code cleanup order (Section 13304) or facilities covered by Sections 25200.10 or 25200.14 are also excluded.

Example

A chemical plant that has been listed as a hazardous substance release site under Article 5 of Chapter 4, Division 45.

Because the plant is already on that list, the rules in this article don’t apply to it; other cleanup orders will handle it instead.
