§ 6301 District Navigation Improvements

• •A district can work on projects outside its own borders.
• •The work must help navigation (like roads, waterways) or commerce (business, trade).
• •There’s no limit on the type of improvement as long as it aids development.

A small town builds a new bridge on a nearby highway that is outside the town’s limits, so trucks can reach the town’s market more easily.

Because the bridge helps commerce for the town, the law says the town is allowed to build it even though it’s not inside the town’s borders.
