§ 1110 Bay Area Water Boundaries

• •The law defines the terms “Bays of San Francisco, San Pablo, and Suisun” and “Monterey Bay”.
• •It includes every water, tributary, port, and harbor in those bays.
• •For the San Francisco group, the area stretches from the south end of the bay and the ports of Sacramento and Stockton up to the Golden Gate Bridge.
• •Monterey Bay means all the water in that bay plus its tributaries, ports, and harbors.

A boat captain wants to know if the water near the Port of Stockton is part of the “Bays of San Francisco, San Pablo, and Suisun”.

Because the law says those bays include the waters from the south end of San Francisco Bay and the ports of Sacramento and Stockton all the way to the Golden Gate Bridge, the captain’s route is inside the defined area.
