§ 90009 Commission Disclosure Injunctions

Key Takeaways

  • •The Commission can ask a court to make someone share information if they refuse to follow the rules.
  • •The court will handle these cases quickly, giving both sides a short time to explain their side.
  • •The court can pause its decision if it wants to think more or wait for more information.

Example

A company refuses to share important documents about a product that might be unsafe.

The Commission can go to court to force the company to share those documents. The court will listen to both sides quickly and decide if the company must share the information. If the court says yes, it can also choose to wait before making the company do it right away.
