Key Takeaways

  • •People who work for the commission or are chosen by the Governor can't try to convince others to support or stop certain laws related to their work.
  • •They also can't try to get the Governor to approve or veto those laws.
  • •They can talk about their work in meetings, but only to explain and answer questions, not to push for or against a law.

Example

A person who works for the commission is asked to speak at a meeting about a new law.

They can go and explain their work, but they can't say 'You should vote for this law' or 'The Governor should veto this law'.
