§ 73758 Prisoner Transport Responsibilities

The Sheriff of Madera County shall be responsible for the transportation of prisoners held in the county’s adult correctional facility to and from necessary court appearances, medical and dental trips, and transfers to or from local, state, or federal correctional facilities. To meet this responsibility, the Sheriff of Madera County shall contract with the county department of corrections, pursuant to Section 831.6 of the Penal Code, to provide these transportation services by qualified personnel of the county department of corrections. (Repealed and added by Stats. 2002, Ch. 784, Sec. 427. Effective January 1, 2003.)
