§ 67048 Governing Body Quorum Rules

• •Most of the group must be there to make big decisions.
• •More than half of the people there must agree to decide something.
• •Every person's vote must be written down, not secret.
• •The group can make their own rules for how they work.

A school board meeting to decide if kids should wear uniforms.

If the school board has 7 members, at least 4 must be at the meeting to decide. Then, at least 4 of those 7 must vote 'yes' to make the rule. Each person’s vote is written down so everyone knows who voted for what. The board can also make their own rules, like how long people can talk.
