§ 65042 State Agency Planning Compliance

Key Takeaways

  • •All state government groups must work together to help make and keep the State Environmental Goals and Policy Report.
  • •By January 1, 2005, each group must make sure their own plans match the state's big planning goals and show how they match every year.
  • •If the state asks for help, advice, or information, these groups must give it.

Example

A state park department is making a new plan for building trails and visitor centers.

The park department must check the state's big environmental goals first. If the state says protecting animals is a big goal, the park's plan must show how the new trails won't hurt animal homes. They also have to prove this every year and help if the state asks for info about their plan.
