§ 6164 Credit Card Information Protection

• •If you work for the state and see someone's credit card info, you can't share it with anyone.
• •You also can't use that credit card info for anything not allowed by your job.
• •If you break this rule, you can get in trouble with the law (it's called a misdemeanor).

A state worker sees a credit card number while helping someone pay a fee online.

If that worker tells their friend the credit card number or uses it to buy something for themselves, they’re breaking the law and can be punished.
