§ 58132 District Formation Approval

• •If most people vote 'yes' in an election, the district is officially created.
• •The people in charge will write down the name and borders of the new district.
• •This rule was added a long time ago, in 1951.

A small town votes on whether to create a new school district.

If more than half the voters say 'yes,' the town leaders will officially say the school district exists, give it a name, and describe where it starts and ends.
