§ 56884 Proposal Disapproval Waiting Period

Key Takeaways

  • •If the commission says 'no' to a proposal, that proposal is dead and can't be brought back.
  • •You can't try the same or a very similar proposal for a whole year after the 'no'.
  • •The commission can make an exception if they think the rule is hurting the public.

Example

A group wants to build a new park in a neighborhood, but the commission rejects the plan.

The group can't try to build the same park or a really similar one for a year. But if the commission sees that waiting a year is bad for the neighborhood, they might let the group try again sooner.
