§ 56861 Subsidiary District Formation Notice

(a) Within 10 days after receiving a proposal to form a subsidiary district, the executive officer shall notify by certified mail the district or districts which are the subject of the proposal. (b) Within 35 days after receiving the notice from the executive officer, the board of directors of the subject district or districts may do either of the following: (1) Adopt a resolution consenting to the subsidiary district proposal, with or without requesting additional terms and conditions. (2) Adopt a resolution of intention to file an alternative proposal to the subsidiary district proposal. (c) Any resolution adopted under paragraph (1) or (2) of subdivision (b) shall immediately be filed with the executive officer. (Added by Stats. 2000, Ch. 761, Sec. 208. Effective January 1, 2001.)
