§ 55110 Local Sewage Treatment Agreements

• •Cities or towns can work together to build or share sewage treatment plants.
• •They can also buy or sell space in these plants to handle their sewage.
• •The deal must follow rules set by their local leaders.

Two small towns next to each other need a new sewage plant, but building one each is too expensive.

They can team up to build one plant together and share the cost. Or, one town can buy extra space in the other town’s plant if they have room.
