§ 54205 Local Agency Purchasing Requests

Key Takeaways

  • •Local agencies (like city or county offices) can ask the state to buy stuff for them.
  • •The state follows special rules when buying things, like getting the best price.
  • •This helps small local offices get supplies without doing all the buying work themselves.

Example

A small town needs new computers for its schools but doesn’t have a big buying team.

The town can ask the state to buy the computers for them, and the state will make sure they get a good deal.
