§ 53186 District Financing Powers

Key Takeaways

  • •An integrated financing district has extra powers on top of what other financing laws allow.
  • •These extra powers can be used instead of, along with, or mixed with the powers from other financing laws.
  • •The district can choose how to use these powers to get things done.

Example

A city wants to fix up a park and build new roads.

The city can use the extra powers of the integrated financing district to get money for the park and roads. They can mix these powers with other ways they usually get money, like taxes or loans, to make it happen.
