§ 4453 Enforcement Responsibility For Projects

Key Takeaways

  • •The state boss (Director of General Services) makes sure the rules are followed when state money is used for any project.
  • •The state boss also checks projects in schools (elementary, secondary, or community colleges) if local government money is used.
  • •Local leaders (like city or county bosses) check other projects paid for with local money, unless it’s a school project.

Example

A city wants to build a new park using city money.

The city leaders (like the mayor or city council) are in charge of making sure the rules are followed, not the state boss.
