§ 43854 Local Government Judgment Payment

Key Takeaways

  • •The government must agree to the deal and the payment plan mentioned in the election notice.
  • •They have to pick the people who will sign the papers to make it official.
  • •This is about paying money owed in small parts over time, not all at once.

Example

Imagine your city lost a big lawsuit and owes a lot of money.

Instead of paying all the money right away, the city agrees to pay a little bit every month. The mayor and some lawyers sign the papers to make this payment plan official.
