§ 31954 Board Member Compensation Rules

• •Most board members don't get paid for their work.
• •The fourth and fifth members get $10 for each meeting they attend, but only for one meeting per month.
• •All board members can get money back for any costs they have because of their work, like travel or lost wages.

If you are the fourth member of the board and you go to a meeting, you get $10 for that meeting.

The law says the fourth and fifth members get paid $10 per meeting, but only for one meeting each month. So if you go to more than one meeting in a month, you still only get $10.
