§ 3025 Impeachment Hearing Notice Requirements

• •The person being accused (defendant) must get a copy of the charges (articles of impeachment) at least 10 days before the hearing.
• •The defendant must also get a notice telling them when and where to show up to answer the charges.
• •This is done by the President of the Senate.

Imagine your teacher accuses you of breaking a school rule and wants to talk about it in front of the principal.

Your teacher must give you a paper explaining what you did wrong and tell you when to meet with the principal, at least 10 days before the meeting.
