§ 29373 Cash Deficit Reporting Requirement

Key Takeaways

  • •If you work in a county office and handle money, you must write a report every day.
  • •The report must show if you have too much or too little money at the end of the day.
  • •If you don’t report the money difference the same day, you break the law.

Example

You work at the county office and collect fees from people. At the end of the day, you count the money and see you are missing $20.

You must write a report right away saying you are short $20. If you wait until the next day, you break the law.
