§ 27398 Electronic Recording System Evaluation

Key Takeaways

  • •The Attorney General had to check how well electronic recording systems were working by June 30, 2009.
  • •They had to look at costs, savings, security, and how well it stops real estate fraud.
  • •They also had to see if this system could be used for other electronic records too.

Example

Imagine your city starts using computers to keep track of who owns houses instead of paper.

The Attorney General had to check if this computer system was saving money, keeping things safe, and stopping people from lying about who owns a house. They also had to see if this computer system could be used for other important papers too.
