§ 26903 Transmission Notice To County Auditor

Key Takeaways

  • •If someone from the state sends money to the county treasurer, they must also tell the county auditor about it.
  • •The notice must include how much money was sent, how it was sent, and why it was sent.
  • •The auditor keeps the notice and tells the treasurer they got it.

Example

A state worker sends $10,000 to the county treasurer for a new school project.

The worker must also send a note to the county auditor saying how much money was sent ($10,000), how it was sent (maybe by check), and why (for the new school project). The auditor keeps this note and tells the treasurer they got it.
