§ 26001 County Road Franchise Authority

Key Takeaways

  • •The government can give permission to companies to use public roads for things like putting up utility lines or offering services.
  • •They have to make sure it doesn’t block or bother people using the roads too much.
  • •The rules for giving this permission must follow the same laws that cities and counties use for similar things.

Example

A company wants to put up new electric lines along a busy street.

The government can say yes, but they have to make sure the lines don’t make it hard for people to drive or walk. They also have to follow the same rules that a city would use for something like this.
