§ 25630 County Forester Appointment Rules

Key Takeaways

  • •If the county planning group is also the forestry group, they can't hire a forester.
  • •The county leaders (board of supervisors) must hire the forester instead.
  • •The forester's promise (bond) goes to the county leaders, not the planning group.

Example

A county has one group handling both planning and forestry. They need to hire someone to take care of the forests.

The planning group can't hire the forester. Instead, the county leaders must do it, and the forester's promise to do the job right goes to the county leaders.
