§ 23731 Sample Ballot Mailing Requirement

Key Takeaways

  • •Every registered voter gets a sample ballot in the mail before an election.
  • •The election is run the same way as big elections, like for president or governor.
  • •The people in charge count the votes and announce the winner just like in other elections.

Example

You get a piece of paper in the mail showing who you can vote for in the next local election.

This paper helps you decide who to vote for before you go to the polling place. The election is run the same way as when you vote for the president, and the votes are counted the same way too.
