§ 23128 Napa County Boundaries

Key Takeaways

  • •Napa County has specific borders that are described using natural landmarks like creeks, mountains, and valleys.
  • •The borders start and end at Huichica Creek where it meets San Pablo Bay.
  • •The description follows a path along mountains, ridges, and creeks to outline the county's shape.
  • •This law was added in 1947 to officially define Napa County's boundaries.

Example

Imagine you're hiking along the mountains between Napa Valley and Suisun Valley. You see a rock monument marking the boundary.

This law says that the line along those mountains is part of Napa County's official border. If you cross that line, you might be leaving Napa County.
